OKC Sydney English Class:
At the OKC Sydney Office we hold a free English Conversation Class for OKC members each Thursday afternoon at 4.30pm. For those OKC members who wish to participate, please contact Mari on (Tel) 02 9252 7775 or operation1@okcsydney.com.au by each Wednesday before 1.00pm.
Last week, one of the class participants was about to start a 2-week internship (work experience program) through OKC. So we decided to talk about working in Australia and Japan. Some of the topics we discussed included polite speech in Japanese, office hierarchy, and future work opportunities in Japan, Australia and internationally. As usual, I got off the topic and we also compared Australian slang with Japan's countryside dialects.
I look forward to seeing some new faces as well next class!
